Sunday 02.Feb.03
Anyway, now we were hungry for waves and due to the fact, that the winds were light but offshore we decided to check out some breaks. Peter Volwater, Barbara and I got into the best car in the world and drove down to a spot pretty close to the village. With respect to the locals we won't mention all the names of the spots. If you get here you will have to find them on your own but this makes it even more interesting I think. We shared the waves for about one hour with 2 Boogieboarders and decided to check out some more places.

Mt. Cameron

Quentins' House, Neighbour, View from the House to Greens Beach and Mt Cameron

Occasional Barrel, Pete on a Right, and at the "car park"

Maybe one of the most extraordinary places of the area is Mt. Cameron. It is an important Aboriginal site. You have to ask at the care takers house if you are allowed to enter the place. The track is 4x4 only. When we arrived some of the other "Smackers" already surfed the 4-5ft waves with some locals. We spent the rest of the afternoon here and it was a great experience to sit in front of the massive rock and getting on the faces and in the green room.
At the end of the day everybody was stoked and the BBQ at Greens beach was just the perfect finish for the day.
