Wednesday 05.Feb.03
And although the 3rd day in a row did not bring the heavy ones nobody was angry. The whole crew got on patrol and we were searching the coast for some surf. We went down to a river mouth and some of the guys already went out and surfed some nice lefts and rights. I was just about to paddle out when suddenly everybody started to paddle or surf back to the beach. Dougal held up his stretched hand upon his head and shouted something like "shw..wakrs..". I did not really understand but decided to turn around. Meeting them at the
beach they told me that a 6-8ft shark was just cruising about 1 metre in between two of them and made them feel rather uncomfortable. I fully understood this.

It was just 11 o'clock so we decided to check out another spot and found some nice beachbreaks with 3-4ft waves and the occasional 5ft. After a good session the wind started to show up and we jumped into the cars and drove down one of the wavesailing spots. But again the wind was not strong enough for the comp. Good fun anyway. Peter, Quentin, Dean and all the others showed some good action. And to end a perfect day we had another barbie at Greens Beach.
